Big Interview is an interview training course from Skillful Communications that is worth using when your school pays for it and you are new to interviewing. It pairs 170 video lessons with a practice simulator and AI feedback on content and delivery. The catch for individual buyers is that there is no free plan or trial, so you pay before seeing any practice, and the cheapest plan, $39 for 30 days, renews until canceled. A 30-day, no-questions-asked refund offsets that risk. Lifetime access costs $299 once. Prices as of September 18, 2026.

What is Big Interview?
Big Interview (biginterview.com) is an interview training platform from Skillful Communications, co-founded by career coach Pamela Skillings, who spent 12 years in HR and marketing at Morgan Stanley, MasterCard and Citigroup. It combines a curriculum of 170 video lessons, learning paths and 12 career category playbooks with an Interview Simulator, an Answer Builder for structuring responses, a resume builder and salary negotiation training. The simulator draws on over 10,000 curated questions filtered by industry, role and seniority, and newer AI features, PracticeAI and VideoAI, add voice mock interviews and scored video answers. Big Interview says it has served over 2 million users, and its YouTube channel cites 700 universities, government agencies and libraries as customers.
What can you see of Big Interview before paying?
Before paying, an individual buyer sees Big Interview's pricing, a three-step signup and a free email course, but no practice: on September 18, 2026 the step after account creation offered only paid plans. That is a pricing decision, not a broken product, and the 30-day refund exists to cover it. We could not get into the product itself, so this section reports what the public pages and signup showed.
What happens when you sign up for Big Interview as an individual?
Every call to action on the homepage (Get Access, Start Learning, Start Training Today) pointed to the personal pricing page. The signup page is a three-step wizard, Create Account, Select Plan, Complete Payment, with email and password, LinkedIn sign-in, and a school picker for institutional users. After we created an account, Select Plan listed Interview Pro at $299 ("You will be billed $299 today"), the 90-day Interview Accelerator at $99 and Interview BootCamp as a monthly subscription at $39, under the line "Try it and don't like it? 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee." There was no free or trial option. With no plan, the app URL sent us back to the login page.
What is in Big Interview's free email course?
The footer's Free Course link opened a short form for email, first and last name. The confirmation promised the course "will arrive in your inbox in a few seconds" and pitched the full tool, saying users can "join the 87% of users who landed a job after just 4 weeks of prep" (screenshot below). The page does not say how that figure was measured. Our disposable inbox provider rejected the address, so we cannot report on the course itself.
What do PracticeAI and VideoAI promise?
Because we could not practice, everything below is Big Interview's own description, not our observation. The PracticeAI page shows an AI interviewer named Eve and promises "Personalized questions based on your resume or a job description", a voice-only format modeled on a phone screen, and "Smart feedback on delivery and answer quality". The VideoAI page says it evaluates pace of speech, vocabulary and eye contact on recorded answers. Neither page mentions follow-up questions. What could we not check on Big Interview?
We could not assess question quality, how natural the PracticeAI interviewer sounds, whether it asks follow-ups, how specific the feedback is, how fast it arrives, the Answer Builder, or school access. The screenshots below show the pricing page, the plan step and the feature page.
How much does Big Interview cost, and does it renew?
Big Interview costs $39 for 30 days, $99 for 3 months or $299 once for lifetime access, and every plan carries a 30-day, 100% refund, as of September 18, 2026. The personal pricing page lists:
- Interview BootCamp: $39 for a 30-day subscription, pitched for people who "already applied and need to prep fast". Checkout labels it a monthly subscription.
- Interview Accelerator: $99 for a 3-month subscription ($33 a month at checkout), adding LinkedIn profile work and a resume with AI feedback.
- Interview Pro: $299, "ONE FEE. LIFETIME ACCESS", with no expiration and salary negotiation training. The FAQ says lifetime covers "new courses and features as they launch."
The guarantee reads: "If you don't see the results within 30 days, we will give you a 100% refund. No questions asked." You request it by emailing support within 30 days of purchase. That is one of the longer refund windows among interview practice tools we checked. Some third-party pages quote different Big Interview prices; ours were read from Big Interview's pricing page and checkout on September 18, 2026.
The two subscription plans renew. Big Interview's FAQ tells members to cancel their membership renewal through the account page, and it does not publish the Accelerator's renewal price. If you buy BootCamp for one interview, put a reminder in your calendar for day 25 to cancel, and ask for the refund inside day 30 if it did not help.
Schools and agencies pay differently. G2 lists a seat-based plan at $9.75 per user per month and an annual plan for up to 50 users at $975 a year.
Is Big Interview free?
Big Interview is free only through a school, career center or workforce agency that licenses it; individuals have no free plan or trial. Students and job seekers whose program holds a license can use it at no cost. The signup page carries a school picker listing a long run of colleges, and the homepage names career centers, state workforce agencies, military transition and veteran programs, and returning citizens as the audiences it supports. Before paying, search your university's career services site for "Big Interview" or ask the career office. Third-party reviews also mention free access tied to other programs, which we could not confirm on Big Interview's own pages.
What do G2, Trustpilot and Reddit users say about Big Interview?
User feedback on Big Interview is thin but mostly positive about the content and quiet about the AI features. On September 18, 2026:
- G2 showed an average of 4 from 12 reviews (G2). Reviewers praise the question library across fields and difficulty levels and say it is easy for institutions to set up. Complaints concern the admin side: thin reporting, coarse staff permissions and a bare help site.
- Trustpilot had a single review, from December 2021, describing a recurring $79 charge the reviewer had not expected and a partial refund (Trustpilot). One old review is not a pattern, but it matches the renewal terms above.
- Review roundups such as IGotAnOffer describe the curriculum as introductory for experienced candidates and weaker value at $39 a month out of pocket.
- Reddit had very little organic discussion; an r/interviews thread asking which mock interview platforms are worth using did not mention it.
The testimonials on the pricing page, covering a residency match, a data science role and a UBS internship, are chosen by the company.
Is Big Interview worth it?
Big Interview is clearly worth it when your school pays: a structured course, a large question bank and AI feedback at no cost are hard to argue with, especially for a first job search. Paying yourself, it depends on where you are. For a beginner with a few weeks, $39 with a 30-day refund is a fair bet. For an experienced candidate, the lessons are likely to cover ground you know, and the practice is organized by industry, role and seniority (PracticeAI adds your resume or a job description) rather than around one company's interview rounds.
If your interview is in one to three days, skip the curriculum. If your school already gives you access, open the simulator tonight and record answers to the questions for your role. If it does not, $39 buys lessons you will not have time to watch; spend the evening answering likely questions out loud instead, for example on Yoodli's free plan (5 spoken roleplays, no card) or with typed feedback on Mock Interview Pro's free interview question pages, whose spoken mock interviews start at $39 once.
What else works if your school does not provide Big Interview?

Its feature page shows an AI interviewer named Eve, promises "Personalized questions based on your resume or a job description" in a voice-only format modeled on a phone screen, and says it gives feedback on delivery and answer quality. It needs a paid plan or a school license, so we could not try it on September 18, 2026.
Does Big Interview renew automatically?
The $39 BootCamp and the $99 Accelerator do. Checkout calls BootCamp a monthly subscription, and Big Interview's FAQ tells members to cancel their membership renewal through the account page. The $299 Interview Pro plan is a one-time fee for lifetime access. If you change your mind, the guarantee gives you 30 days from purchase to email support for a full refund.
Is Big Interview good for experienced professionals?
It can feel introductory. Review roundups describe the curriculum as aimed at people learning the basics, and its homepage speaks mainly to career centers, workforce programs and veterans in transition. An experienced candidate with a scheduled interview may get more from practice built around that specific job than from lessons on answer structure.
Can I practice coding interviews on Big Interview?
No. We found no coding or system design environment in Big Interview's product pages. Its practice is aimed at behavioral and role questions across industries, filtered by role and seniority. Engineers preparing for coding rounds should look at a tool with a shared code editor, such as interviewing.io, whose AI Interviewer for coding and system design is free.
How we tested
On September 18, 2026 we tried Big Interview as an individual buyer, without paying, in an automated, headless Chromium browser. We read the homepage, the personal pricing page and FAQ, and the practice simulator and PracticeAI pages; created an account with email and password; reached the Select Plan step, which offered only paid plans; and stopped there. We also signed up for the free email course, but our disposable inbox could not receive it. We could not test lessons, practice questions, AI feedback, follow-ups or school access. User sentiment comes from G2, Trustpilot and Reddit as linked. We make Mock Interview Pro, a competing practice tool.
On September 18, 2026 we tried Big Interview as an individual buyer in an automated, headless Chromium browser, without paying.
